Your homes, your views - the launch of our comprehensive resident survey
We’re carrying out a major survey of residents to ask your opinions on what you think of our services and what you would like us to improve. We’ve commissioned an independent market research company to carry out a Group-wide survey, including residents across all tenures from James Butcher Housing Association, South Wight Housing Association and Southern Housing Group Ltd.
The survey will be carried during between December 2009 and January 2010. A random sample of around 2000 residents will be contacted by phone and asked a few questions about the services we delivery. Residents will also be offered the chance to complete an on line survey, or be sent a copy through the post.
If you’re part of the random sample you will have received a letter from us with details of the research company. Not only will the results of this survey give us up-to-date information on how satisfied you are with what we do, if you take part you will also be entered into a prize draw with the chance to win one of two prizes of £200 cash.
We will collate the information we receive and report on the finding in spring 2010 to residents, to our Board members and to our regulator the Tenants Services Authority.
Our last big survey was carried out in 2006/07, and although we regularly ask residents their views about the individual services when they contact us about other issues, such as repairs, complaints or lettings etc, this type of comprehensive survey gives us much more detailed information.
